Will County Executive Walsh reminds residents of importance of responsible recycling

Since 1997, America Recycles Day has increased awareness of both recycling and buying recycled products. This year’s America Recycles Day is Friday, November 15 and Will County is joining communities across the nation to encourage residents to focus on basic recyclables: plastic bottles, jugs, and tubs; glass bottles, steel and aluminum cans, empty cartons, and varieties of clean dry paper such as newspapers and cardboard boxes.

Will County Center for Community Concerns receives more than $33,000 to fund comprehensive housing counseling programs

Officials from the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) presented a check for more than $33,000 to the Will County Center for Community Concerns (WCCCC) to support the agency’s comprehensive housing counseling program. HUD awarded more than $42 million in housing counseling grants in Opportunity Zones across the nation, with $1.3 million allocated in Illinois.
