Will County and Lewis University will host the sixth annual “Catapult a Pumpkin” event from 9:00 a.m. until noon, Saturday, Nov. 6 in the “W” parking lot South of the main entrance of Lewis University in Romeoville. Will County today announced that it will be receiving a $200,000 grant from Pace Suburban Bus (Pace) to evaluate paratransit services in the county and identify future improvements. Pace announced the funding at the Oct. 21st meeting of the Will County Board.

Will County will join the Illinois Energy Conservation Authority to host an information session for commercial property owners on the Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy (C-PACE) program on Monday, October 25. Yearly event raises funds and awareness about Alzheimer’s Disease
For more than 15 years, the staff and residents of Sunny Hill Nursing Home in Joliet have participated in the annual Walk to End Alzheimer’s, the world’s largest fundraiser for Alzheimer’s care, support, and research. Traditionally, the event would be held at a local forest preserve and be open to the community. However, in consideration of resident participation Sunny Hill elected to accommodate the event on campus. Additionally, Covid-19 mitigations changed the way the local event was organized.
