EMA Hosts “The Science of Storms” Event to Help Families Prepare for Severe Weather

Will County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) is hosting a free event aimed at helping local families get “storm-ready” and prepared for emergencies. “The Science of Storms: Are You Prepared?” will take place on Saturday, April 12 from 10 a.m. until noon at the Four Rivers Environmental Education Center, 25055 W. Walnut Ln, Channahon.

Pathways to Professions Career Expo to be Held in Romeoville

The Workforce Services Division of Will County will be hosting their third-annual Pathways to Professions Career Expo from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, March 11 at the Romeoville Athletic and Events Center (55 Phelps Ave, Romeoville, IL). The free expo aims to connect job seekers with over one hundred employers from a wide range of in-demand industries.

Small Business Owners Invited to Seminar Focused on Government Bidding and Procurement

A free seminar for small business owners to learn about state, county, and municipal bidding opportunities will be held from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM on March 6, 2025 at the Joliet Junior College’s City Center Campus. The “Bidding and Procurement Seminar for Small Business Owners” is the result of a collaboration between the Joliet Junior College Entrepreneur and Business Center (EBC), the Will County Center for Economic Development (CED), the Will County Executive Office, and the State of Illinois.

Imagination Library Kick-Off Event Draws a Crowd

Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library of Will County held its kickoff event in January, attracting hundreds of local residents interested in celebrating and learning more about the literacy program. County Executive Jennifer Bertino-Tarrant has partnered with the Will County Center for Economic Development to bring the program to Will County.
