Will County has launched a grant opportunity aimed at supporting small businesses and non-profits in enhancing their physical spaces and promoting accessibility. $300,000 has been made available to support external improvements, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) accessibility projects, and sustainability enhancements.

Will County’s Resource Recovery & Energy Division has released its Fall 2025 Will County Green recycling and collection event schedule. The schedule includes collection events for electronics, household items, household hazardous waste, motor oil, scrap metal, and other items.

Will County’s Workforce Services Division is hosting a Job Fair on Thursday, August 28, 2025 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Workforce Center of Will County, 2400 Glenwood Ave, Joliet. The fair gives an opportunity for residents to meet face-to-face with 16 local employers.

Will County hosted nearly a dozen high school and college interns in various departments over the Summer, offering an opportunity for these talented students to work closely with department leadership and staff to assist with projects in their area of studies and to gain real-world experience critical for their career-development.

The Will County Division of Transportation (DOT) will host a Public Information Meeting to present an identified improvement option for the Mills Road-Cherry Hill Road Phase I Study from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 5 at the Nowell Park Recreation Center, 199 Mills Road, Joliet.
