The Workforce Center of Will County March schedule, which includes workshops offered by the Workforce Services Division of Will County, Illinois Department of Employment Security and Joliet Junior College, has been released.

Workforce Services Division of Will County has announced the Mobile Workforce Center’s March schedule, with stops in six communities.

Area job seekers are invited to attend a weekly job fair hosted by the Workforce Services Division of Will County and the Illinois Department of Employment Security from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 15, at the Workforce Center of Will County.

Will County received a five year grant from the Illinois Department of Human Services (DHS). DHS is the recipient of a federal grant from SAMSHA (Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration) to reduce the number of prescription drug/opioid overdose-related deaths.

Area job seekers are invited to attend a weekly job fair hosted by the Workforce Services Division of Will County and the Illinois Department of Employment Security from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 9, at the Workforce Center of Will County.

     Will County residents who have their pets spayed or neutered at participating veterinary offices in February can receive a $40 county-sponsored discount

     The Will County Executive’s Office is pleased to announce the launch of the Will County Safe Passage Initiative, another critical strategy to reduce the number of heroin deaths in the county. The Mokena Police Department, the Lockport Police Department, the Lemont Police Department, A Man in Recovery Foundation, and Strategic Prevention are working together to establish the Safe Passage Initiative that will connect opiate users with treatment providers.
