These services include classes on resume writing, practicing interview skills, and updating computer proficiency. The center also provides information about career scholarships and on the job training. These services are available from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday in the center’s Resource Room.

The Mobile Workforce Center travels throughout Will County offering a variety of services for job seekers, including computers with internet access for online applications and job searches, the ability to create/revise a competitive résumé and an online job board with listings from Will County businesses. Since 2012, the National Association of Workforce Development Professionals (NAWDP) has chosen September to raise awareness about the importance of workforce development to the national economy. The NADWP recognizes the critical link workforce development professionals provide between businesses, job seekers, education and training resources. Locally, the Workforce Center of Will County (WCWC) professionals have worked hard to attain credentials and certifications specific to the employment industry.

JOLIET – Workforce Services Division of Will County has scheduled its February workshops for job seekers.
Participants will learn interviewing techniques at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 4, in Successful Interviewing. Learn how to prepare for a job interview, be confident and make a positive impression. Attendees may schedule an individual, digitally recorded mock interview after completing the workshop.
