The Will County Community Mental Health Board held their first meeting to elect officers and establish Bylaws. This marks the first key step for the newly created board to establish their plan to evaluate and improve community mental health services in Will County, including the treatment of mental illness, intellectual and developmental disabilities, and substance use.

The Greater Chicagoland Region has been named the top metropolitan area for corporate site selection and relocations for the tenth consecutive year. County Executive Bertino-Tarrant celebrated the announcement with World Business Chicago at an awards ceremony recognizing companies who have grown or relocated in the Chicagoland Region.

Yesterday, Will County Executive Jennifer Bertino-Tarrant joined regional leaders to announce the formation of the Greater Chicagoland Economic Partnership. This first-of-its-kind collaboration among the seven counties of northeastern Illinois (Cook, DuPage, Kane, Kendall, Lake, McHenry, Will) and the City of Chicago aims to drive economic growth and advance equity across the region and its diverse communities.

Will County Seeking Applicants for Community Mental Health Board

The voters of Will County approved by referenda the creation of a Community Mental Health Board in November, 2022. The State of Illinois created opportunity for local communities to approve the creation of these boards under the Community Mental Health Act.Will County Executive Jennifer Bertino-Tarrant invites the public to apply to serve on this newly established volunteer Board.
