Business Owners Invited to Virtual Workshop on Illinois Business Enterprise Program

State program helps minority, women and disabled business owners connect with opportunities

Will County Executive Jennifer Bertino-Tarrant invites business owners to attend a free virtual workshop to learn about the Illinois Business Enterprise Program (BEP) and local resources. The workshop, on Thursday, September 29th from 1PM – 2PM, is being hosted in coordination with the Will County Center for Economic Development (CED) and the State of Illinois Commission on Equity and Inclusion.

Will County Opens Application Period for ARPA Health Program Funding

Applications to increase services and expand access to health-related programs are open until October 28, 2022

Will County Executive Jennifer Bertino-Tarrant and County Board leadership today announced the open application period for American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding to support health programs. The County has dedicated over $22 million of ARPA funding for community groups, healthcare partners, and non-profit organizations to address adverse impacts created or deepened by the pandemic.

Will County Seeking Feedback on Paratransit and Dial-a-Ride Services

Launches “Access Will County” to examine transportation options

Will County Executive Jennifer Bertino-Tarrant today announced the opening of the public engagement period for Access Will County, which will evaluate county-wide paratransit and dial-a-ride services and mobility options. Residents are invited to take a survey if they use paratransit or dial-a-ride services, or if they are interested in using a similar service in the future. The survey will be open until October 5, 2022.

Will County Achieves Energy Efficiency Recognition from U.S. Department of Energy

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) has recognized Will County for achieving its energy savings goal as a partner in the national Better Buildings Challenge. County government has achieved energy savings of 23% due to coordinated efficiency efforts across its building portfolio.
