The Will County Division of Transportation (WCDOT) has launched a new interactive online map to help residents stay up to date on county-wide construction projects. The map includes the 2023 Will County Road Construction Schedule, with multiple reconstruction, repaving, and improvement projects scheduled.

The application window is now open and proposals are being accepted from now until April 26 for the 2023 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Consortium funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Will County anticipates receiving about $2.1 million in CDBG Allocation and $1.4 million in HOME Allocation this year.

Will County hosted a pop-up pet clinic at the County Office Building on March 11, which vaccinated and microchipped over 250 local cats and dogs. The event was hosted by Will County Executive Jennifer Bertino-Tarrant, State’s Attorney Jim Glasgow, the K9 Enrichment Initiative, and Petco Love.

The Greater Chicagoland Region has been named the top metropolitan area for corporate site selection and relocations for the tenth consecutive year. County Executive Bertino-Tarrant celebrated the announcement with World Business Chicago at an awards ceremony recognizing companies who have grown or relocated in the Chicagoland Region.
