The public is invited to join a "Day at Will County Government" on Friday, April 25th, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Will County Office Building.

The Will County Division of Transportation (DOT) will hold a Public Information Meeting concerning the proposed improvement of the Burville Road at Exchange Street intersection in Crete Township, near the Village of Crete. The meeting will be held at Crete Township Fire Protection District Station #1, 26730 S. Stoney Island Ave. in Crete on April 30, 2025 from 4-7 p.m.

Please note, Will County offices will be closed tomorrow (4/18/25) in observance of Good Friday.

The Will County Division of Transportation (DOT) is spotlighting their 2025 construction and maintenance schedule, with several roadway reconstruction, improvement, and resurfacing projects occurring throughout the county.

Will County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) is hosting a free event aimed at helping local families get “storm-ready” and prepared for emergencies. “The Science of Storms: Are You Prepared?” will take place on Saturday, April 12 from 10 a.m. until noon at the Four Rivers Environmental Education Center, 25055 W. Walnut Ln, Channahon.

“Recyclepalooza” is kicking off Will County’s 2025 recycling event season, offering a free recycling and collection event in Joliet for electronics, household hazardous waste, metal, wood, clothing, books, toys, and more on Saturday, March 29.

Will County Animal Protection Services (APS) is waiving adoption fees for dogs six months and older throughout March as part of their “Mutt Madness” promotion. The promotion event runs from March 1 through March 31, 2025.

The Workforce Services Division of Will County will be hosting their third-annual Pathways to Professions Career Expo from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, March 11 at the Romeoville Athletic and Events Center (55 Phelps Ave, Romeoville, IL). The free expo aims to connect job seekers with over one hundred employers from a wide range of in-demand industries.

In honor of International Women’s Day, the Will County Executive Office is joining with State Representatives Natalie Manley and Dee Avelar, State Senator Meg Loughran Cappel, and the American Red Cross to host a blood drive.

A free seminar for small business owners to learn about state, county, and municipal bidding opportunities will be held from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM on March 6, 2025 at the Joliet Junior College’s City Center Campus. The “Bidding and Procurement Seminar for Small Business Owners” is the result of a collaboration between the Joliet Junior College Entrepreneur and Business Center (EBC), the Will County Center for Economic Development (CED), the Will County Executive Office, and the State of Illinois.
