Will County, the City of Joliet, and the Joliet Slammers are teaming up to host Water Conservation Night during the Tuesday, August 26 Slammers game against the Washington Wild Things at Duly Health and Care Field in Joliet.

Will County residents are invited to attend two pop-up events for free fruits and vegetables in Joliet and Romeoville thanks to a partnership between Will County Executive Jennifer Bertino-Tarrant, State Senator Meg Loughran Cappel and State Representative Natalie Manley.

Will County Executive Jennifer Bertino-Tarrant has appointed local labor leader and lifelong Will County resident Brian Shanahan to serve on the Metra Board of Directors, bringing a wealth of railroad, transit, and economic development experience to the transit agency’s leadership team.

Local officials and community leaders joined representatives from Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library and the State of Illinois to officially launch the Imagination Library of Will County at a kick-off event today. Parents in Will County can now register to have free, high-quality, and age-appropriate books mailed directly to their children from birth until their fifth birthday. 

The Will County Division of Transportation (DOT) will host a Public Information Meeting to present an identified improvement option for the Mills Road-Cherry Hill Road Phase I Study from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 5 at the Nowell Park Recreation Center, 199 Mills Road, Joliet.
