Will County Recognizes Metastatic Breast Cancer (MBC) Awareness Day
In honor of Metastatic Breast Cancer (MBC) Awareness Day, the Will County Courthouse will be illuminated in the colors of green, teal, and pink on Sunday, October 13. Will County is partnering with LightUpMBC and METAvivor to raise awareness of MBC, also known as Stage 4, where the cancer has spread beyond the breast to other parts of the body.
Teal stands for healing and spirituality, green for hope, and pink signifies that the cancer originated in the breast. By lighting up in these meaningful colors, we are standing with the Stage 4 metastatic breast cancer community and raising awareness for those who live with this incurable form of the disease. Together, we honor their strength, resilience, and the need for more research to support them.
