Project Labor Agreement for Animal Control, EMA buildings signed

JOLIET – A Project Labor Agreement for two building projects was signed during the Thursday, Nov. 15, County Board meeting.

The agreement covers the Animal Control building and a storage facility for Emergency Management Agency.

Will County Executive Larry Walsh said, “The agreement we signed with our friends in labor ensures there will be no work stoppage on this $5.5 million project, even if there is a labor dispute.”

Signing today were Walsh; Ray Tuminello, board member from District 12 and Capital Improvements chairman; Patrick Harbor Jr., Construction Manager Harbor Contractors Inc.;  Jason Cox from the Three Rivers Construction Alliance; and Doc Gregory from Will Grundy Building Trades.         

The project is scheduled to begin in the spring.
