Community Development Division is responsible for administering HUD grant funds and preparing the following documents:
- 5-Year Consolidated Plan. Explains the needs and goals of Will County for a 5 year period. The grant cycle for Will County is
- October 1st to September 30th.
- Annual Action Plan. Explains the projects to be undertaken by Will County during a given grant year. Projects align with goals identified in the County Consolidated Plan.
- Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER). Reports on accomplishments and progress toward Consolidated Plan goals.

The purpose of the public hearing is to entertain comments Will County’s application for the Preservation and Reinvestment Initiative for Community Enhancement (PRICE) grant.
Will County Community Development plans to apply for the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) PRICE grant. This grant will preserve and revitalize manufactured housing units and eligible manufactured housing communities.

The County will accept comments from the public on the PY2024 Annual Action Plan during this time. The Public is hereby notified that comments on the Plan will be accepted by email to: lugrants@willcountylanduse.com or mailed to Will County Land Use Department, Will County Community Development Division, 58 E. Clinton St, Suite 100, Joliet, IL 60432. Comments dropped off or submitted by mail must be postmarked no later than July 1, at 4:00 PM.
