CDBG/HOME Application Cycle
The Will County grant cycle is October 1st to September 30th. When grant funds are awarded to the County for CDBG, HOME and ESG, Request for Proposals (RFP's) are made available for competition. Below is a general outline for the grant cycle.

April: Technical Assistance webex sessions
April: RFP submittals due
May/June: Advisory Board meeting & Public Hearing
July: County Board approval of Advisory Board recommendations for funding
August: Award announcements
October: Grant cycle begins

NOTICE OF PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD
FOR THE PROGRAM YEAR 2024 CAPER
FOR WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS
In accordance with 24 CFR 91.05(c)(2) and subpart B of the federal regulations relative to citizen participation for Community Planning and Development Programs, Will County will hold a public display comment period for the Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER). This report summarizes CDBG/HOME/ESG accomplishments during Program Year 2024 (October 1, 2024 through September 30, 2025).
The County intends to submit its PY2024 CAPER to HUD on or before December 30, 2025.
In order to obtain the views of residents, public agencies, and other interested parties, the County will place the PY2024 CAPER on display from December 12, 2025 to December 29, 2025, at the following location during normal operational hours, Monday-Friday 8:30am – 4:30pm:
