Workforce Center of Will County Releases August Job Fair and Training Calendar

The Workforce Services Division of Will County released its August 2023 schedule of events, workshops, job fairs, and Mobile Workforce Center locations.

Job seekers can attend the Lockport Township Job Fair on Tuesday, August 29 from 1-5 p.m. at the Lockport Township Offices, 1463 S Farrell Rd, Lockport, IL. Register for the opportunity to meet local employers and apply for available positions online at: https://form.jotform.com/232064215543145 

Multiple training workshops will be held at the Workforce Center of Will County throughout the month of August on topics such as Microsoft Office, resume writing, interview tactics, and networking strategies. Also, on Thursday, August 17 from 2-3 p.m., Midland States Bank will present a special workshop on identity theft for Will County residents. The Workforce Center of Will County is located in Joliet at 2400 Glenwood Avenue. 

Residents can also visit the Workforce Center of Will County to pick up a “Job Fair In-A-Bag”, which contains job listings from Will County businesses that are hiring and resources for job searching, including resumes, interviewing, and more.

In addition to next month’s schedule, Workforce Services is also providing career scholarships for in-demand careers such as healthcare, transportation, distribution, logistics, manufacturing, information technology, and more. Career scholarships are available to Will County residents who meet eligibility guidelines and are interested in training for occupations that are in demand.
