Will County Land Use Department

Will County and the Illinois Department of Transportation on Wednesday reached an agreement about the jurisdiction of several roads in Will County, with the most significant transfer being Arsenal Road.

     “We negotiated with IDOT to take over Arsenal Road and in exchange the county will assume ownership of three other roadways within the county,” said Will County Executive Larry Walsh. “This is an important agreement regarding the safety of this region. This will benefit the county, our residents, the intermodals, and the many truckers who use this road daily.”

Businesses looking to hire should include the Workforce Services Division’s Resume Gallery in their search.  

The Gallery was designed in response to discussions with businesses and workers looking for a way to keep resumes of job seekers from becoming buried on large sites, said Scott Kettman, Business Services/Special Projects Supervisor for WSD.

The Will County Children’s Advocacy Center,  a non-profit agency serving children in Will County who have been sexually or physically abused, has been chosen as one of 3 finalists in IKEA’s Life Improvement Challenge.

JOLIET – Will County residents who have their pets spayed or neutered in the month of February can receive a $40.00 county sponsored discount. The discount applies for up to two animals per household and is exclusively for pet owners who live in Will County.
