PROJECT TITLE: DEMOLITION OF PROPERTIES
Sealed bids shall be received by the Will County Land Use Department, Development Review Division, 58 E. Clinton Street, Suite 100, Joliet, Illinois 60432 until 3 o'clock p.m. local time on February 20, 2020 at which time all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud for:

LOT 6, IN BLOCK 16, IN STIRLING PARK, A SUBDIVISION OF PART OF SECTION 34, IN TOWNSHIP 36 NORTH AND IN RANGE 10 EAST OF THE THIRD PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN, ACCORDING TO THE PLAT THEREOF RECORDED SEPTEMBER 4, 1907, IN PLAT BOOK 14, PAGE 37, AS DOCUMENT NO. 246400, IN WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS.

Bid Document: Entire bid packet shall be downloaded from the website, completed, and returned, as directed in the bid document. If pages are found to be missing or sections are left blank from the bid documents, the proposal shall be rejected.

Insurance: The successful bidder shall be required to purchase insurance as set forth in the General Conditions.
MBE/WBE Outreach: Women-owned and minority-owned contractors are encouraged to submit a proposal.
The County of Will and Will County Land Use Department reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
Bids submitted may not be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days following the bid opening without the written consent of the awarding body.
All contractors MUST be registered with SAMs at www.sam.gov prior to submitting a bid.

NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS
Please note that the County shall consider awarding this Contract to the lowest responsible bidder based upon the total lump sum bid as shown on the bid schedule; although the County, as specified in Section 17 of the Instructions to Bidders, reserves the right to accept any bid, any part of a bid, or any combination of two or more bids. The Contractor must list in the Bid Schedule the unit prices for the demolition of each structure, as well as the total lump sum bid price for the entire Contract.
You, the contractor, have the responsibility of terminating the water and sewer lines at their connection to the main per City of Joliet’s (water purveyor) directive or properly disconnecting any wells and septic or individual mechanical sewage systems according to all Federal, State and local laws and regulations. Further, any such well and/or system disconnected must be properly abandoned by a licensed well/septic contractor leaving the abandoned system otherwise placed in the condition required by any applicable ordinance or state statute for a well or sewerage disposal system not in use.
The contractor shall be responsible for all utility termination(s). Related fees for said termination(s) shall be included in the demolition bid. Utility termination(s) must be conducted by the responsible utility entity.
Please be advised that a demolition permit shall not be issued until all service and connection(s) have been terminated and a sign off is received from the City of Joliet verifying the contractor has received all City of Joliet specifications for the disconnection of the water line per City requirements. Said terminations shall be inspected and approved. Also, be advised that the contractor is required to obtain all necessary permits before any work is started.
