Will County Land Use Department

Personnel of the Will County Land Use Department are charged by the County Executive and the County Board to serve as the citizens' land use stewards, providing guidance and assistance for the lifecycle development of the built and natural environments within unincorporated and, in some instances, incorporated portions of the County. The individual and collective efforts of Land Use team members accomplish this charge through efficient and effective planning, regulatory and procedural systems that are applied in a transparent, consistent, equitable and courteous manner.

The department consists of four divisions: Administration and Enforcement, Community Development, Development Services, Resource Recovery & Energy (RR&E)

SmartGov Public Portal

Examination: All examinations of contract documents and bid specifications from the Will County Land Use Department can be accessed at www.willcountyillinois.com. Questions should be directed to Rebecca DeGroate via telephone (815) 774-7904 or by email at rdegroate@willcountyillinois.com.

 

Bid Document: Entire bid packet shall be downloaded from the website, completed, and returned, as directed in the bid document. If pages are found to be missing or sections are left blank from the bid documents, the proposal shall be rejected. 

 

Pre-bid: Mandatory attendance at the following properties on the provided date and time:

Insurance: The successful bidder shall be required to purchase insurance as set forth in the General Conditions.

 

MBE/WBE Outreach: Women-owned and minority-owned contractors are encouraged to submit a proposal.

The County of Will and Will County Land Use Department reserves the right to reject any or all bids.

Bids submitted may not be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days following the bid opening without the written consent of the awarding body. All contractors MUST be registered with SAMs at www.sam.gov prior to submitting a bid.
