Will County Land Use Department

Personnel of the Will County Land Use Department are charged by the County Executive and the County Board to serve as the citizens' land use stewards, providing guidance and assistance for the lifecycle development of the built and natural environments within unincorporated and, in some instances, incorporated portions of the County. The individual and collective efforts of Land Use team members accomplish this charge through efficient and effective planning, regulatory and procedural systems that are applied in a transparent, consistent, equitable and courteous manner.

The department consists of four divisions: Administration and Enforcement, Community Development, Development Services, Resource Recovery & Energy (RR&E)

Notice of Funding Availability

Notice of Funding Availability:  Will County anticipates receiving Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Consortium funds and ESG funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for the period of October 1, 2020 – September 30, 2021 (PY 2020) and is presently accepting proposals for CDBG Public Service, Public Facilities and Improvements and HOME grant funds.

The 2020 Will County CDBG Public Service Applications, Public Facilities and Improvements and HOME Consortium applications are available and can be obtained electronically on the Will County Land Use Department website under Community Development/ Grant Programs: www.willcountylanduse.com.  Applications are due May 1, 2020
