Will County Land Use Department

Personnel of the Will County Land Use Department are charged by the County Executive and the County Board to serve as the citizens' land use stewards, providing guidance and assistance for the lifecycle development of the built and natural environments within unincorporated and, in some instances, incorporated portions of the County. The individual and collective efforts of Land Use team members accomplish this charge through efficient and effective planning, regulatory and procedural systems that are applied in a transparent, consistent, equitable and courteous manner.

The department consists of four divisions: Administration and Enforcement, Community Development, Development Services, Resource Recovery & Energy (RR&E)

Presidents Day Kids' Fair Returns to Troy Middle School

Will County Executive Jennifer Bertino-Tarrant invites families to attend a fun-filled Kids’ Fair on Monday, Feb. 17, 2025 from 9 a.m. until noon at Troy Middle School, 5800 W. Theodore St., Plainfield, IL. The free event features interactive and educational activities from local organizations, businesses, and government agencies.

“This event provides a free and fun outlet on Presidents Day,” said County Executive Bertino-Tarrant. “We invite families across Will County to join us on this day off of school.”

The fair will feature games, crafts, educational activities, live performances, and storytelling. All participating organizations will feature interactive and fun activities at their table to engage attendees. This year’s fair will also feature special appearances from Bluey between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. and both Abraham and Mary Todd Lincoln between 11 a.m. and 12 p.m., who will be available for photos.
