Vaping Marijuana Opioids

What do you know??

A presentation entitled "Vaping, Marijuana, and Opioids - What do you know?" will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 10 in the Auditorium of Plainfield East High School, 12001 Naperville Road, Plainfield.

The event will include Dr. Kathleen Burke, director of substance use initiatives in the Will County Executive's office and Dr. Aaron Weiner, director of addiction studies at Linden Oaks Behavioral Health. Topics will include an explanation of vaping and e-cigarettes and the health effects, the difference between cannabis and CBD products and their effects on health, identifying the risks factors for opioid use disorder and overdose and an explanation of Illinois' Good Samaritan Law. A questions and answers session will follow the presentations.

A resource fair and the Hidden in Plain Sight trailer, sponsored by HERO, will also be part of the event.

The event is sponsored by Plainfield School District 202, Plainfield Counseling Center, the Will County Executive Office, Linden Oaks Behavioral Health.
