County Executive Bertino-Tarrant appoints five to Will County boards

     Will County Executive Jennifer Bertino-Tarrant appointed five people to boards in December.

     Reappointed to four-year terms on the Joliet Arsenal Development Advisory Board were Christopher Adler and Tim Brophy, both of Joliet.

     Adler, President of Adler Roofing & Sheet Metal Inc. in Joliet, has been active with the Joliet Region Chamber of Commerce, Guardian Angel Community Services, and Habitat for Humanity in addition to professional organizations.

     Brophy, Will County Treasurer, has been elected JADA chairman. He has been involved in Rotary Club of Joliet and Irish American Society of County Will, and professional organizations, Three Rivers Association of Realtors, Illinois Association of Realtors, National Association of Realtors and Illinois County Treasurers Association.  He also was on the Joliet City Council from 1995 to 2011.

     Appointed to three-year terms on the Workforce Investment Board were James Rink of Naperville, Gerrardo Ruiz of Joliet and Kurt Trost of Lockport.

     Rink is a Senior Consultant and Coach at Integris Management Solutions in Naperville. He has been involved in the Lewis University President’s Circle and Conscious Capitalism in Chicago. He has previously served on the Workforce Investment Board, Will County Center for Economic Development, Governors State University Foundation, and Community Foundation of Will County.

    Ruiz is Interim Local Office Administrator with the Illinois Department of Human Services in Joliet. Ruiz wrote in his application, “My involvement brings a public sector perspective on behalf of the Illinois Department of Human Services in the planning and oversight of (Workforce Investment Board) initiatives.”

     Trost is director of strategic solutions at ManpowerGroup Solutions based in Milwaukee. He is also Vice President of Development for Grundy Will HR Association.
