Workforce Center of Will County releases September Mobile Workforce Center schedule

New stops added at Joliet Junior College City Center Campus and New Lenox Public Library

The Mobile Workforce Center travels throughout Will County offering a variety of services for job seekers, including computers with internet access for online applications and job searches, the ability to create/revise a competitive résumé and an online job board with listings from Will County businesses. View any of the job readiness workshops during a visit to the MWC or in the convenience of one’s home by visiting Workforce Center of Will County Facebook page.

“Michelle and her team work very hard to ensure our residents across Will County have access to these important job search services, and other essential county services” said County Executive Jennifer Bertino-Tarrant.

In addition to the monthly Mobile Workforce Center schedule, the Workforce Center of Will County will be hosting a Resource Fair on September 11, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the University Park Village Hall, 44 Town Center Drive in University Park, in cooperation with the Health Department and the County Executive’s office. The fair will include assistance with job searches, as well as information to residents about medical/dental services, voters’ registration, senior services, and a food drive.

“We are pleased to bring these important job search services to our residents across Will County,” said Michelle Stiff, director of the Workforce Center of Will County. “We are also proud to announce we are adding locations at Joliet Junior College City Center Campus and New Lenox Public Library for further convenience.”

Every Monday in September, the Mobile Workforce Center will be at the Plainfield Library, 15025 S. Illinois St., Plainfield from 9:30 a.m. until noon and at the Fountaindale Library, 300 W. Briarcliff Road, Bolingbrook, from 1:00 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. (except for Sept. 6th in observance of Labor Day).

On Tuesdays, from 9:30 a.m. until noon, the unit will be at the Crete Library, 1177 Main St., Crete, and from 1:00 p.m. until 3:30 p.m., the center will be at the University Park Village Hall, 44 Town Center Drive, University Park.
Joliet Junior College City Center Campus, 235 N. Chicago Street, is a new stop for the mobile workforce center from 9:30 a.m. until noon and from 1:00 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. on Wednesdays.

The Wilmington Public Library, 201 S. Kankakee Street in Wilmington, hosts the mobile center from 9:30 a.m. until noon and from 1:00 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. on Thursdays.
On Friday, Sept 3rd and 24th, residents can visit the MWC from 9:30 a.m. until noon at the Frankfort Public Library, 2119 S. Pfeiffer Road in Frankfort, and from 1:00 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. at the Mokena Community Public Library 11237 W. 95th Street in Mokena.

On Sept 10th, residents can visit the MWC from 9:30 a.m. until noon at New Lenox Public Library 120 Veterans Parkway and from 1:30 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. at the Mokena Community Public Library.

On Sept. 17th, the MWC will be at the Frankfort Public Library from 9:30 a.m. until noon and New Lenox Public Library from 1:30 p.m. until 3:30 p.m.
