Workforce Center of Will County Releases January Workshop Schedule

The start of the new year offers an opportunity to look for a new career or polish one’s skillset, and the Workforce Center of Will County is the perfect place to find these resources.

“Our Workforce Center offers many essential services in one location,” said County Executive Jennifer Bertino-Tarrant. “Residents can search for the most recent job openings, participate in job training, learn about veteran and unemployment benefits, or enroll for college, all with the support of knowledgeable staff.”

The Workforce Center of Will County offers a wide variety of job search workshops, such as resume writing, interviewing tactics, Microsoft Office, and LinkedIn. These classes are held in-person in the computer lab at 2400 Glenwood Avenue. The complete workshop schedule for January is listed on the Calendar of Events at www.will.works.

The Center also offers Adult Education Services through Joliet Junior College and career scholarships to assist residents interested in training for high demand occupations. Other specialized events include Job Fair in a Bag and Career Fairs for Individuals with Disabilities.

“We are fortunate to have many quality employers in Will County who are offering good jobs,” said Michelle Stiff, Director of the Workforce Services Division of Will County. “We have created different programs to prepare and connect our residents with these opportunities. I am proud of the innovative manner we have continued to offer these services to our residents and employers.”

Residents can register for these workshops and learn information about additional training on the website, www.will.works, or by calling (815) 727-4444.
