Jennifer Bertino-Tarrant Will County Executive

I am honored to serve as your Will County Executive. As a lifelong resident of this great county, I have witnessed many changes as we have evolved from an ag-community to a major hub in the global distribution market.  I am dedicated to building upon this status but I am equally dedicated to maintaining the quality of life for the nearly 700,000 residents and thousands of businesses and organizations that call Will County home.

Please explore our website which is filled with important information about services and departments within the County Executive office as well as connections to other county officials’ websites.

Will County is diverse, vibrant and filled with hard-working people. We have room to grow and we look forward to a great future.

Jennifer Bertino-Tarrant, Will County Executive

Agenda Set for the Will County MAPP Collaborative Fall Forum Sept. 30

Seventh annual fall forum explores important local issues

Will County’s Mobilizing for Action through Planning and Partnerships (MAPP) Collaborative will host its Annual Fall Forum from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m., on Friday, September 30, at Adventist Medical Center Bolingbrook, 500 Remington Blvd. in Bolingbrook.

Registration is still available for the seventh Annual Fall Forum, which will focus on health equity.  Public health is what a society does collectively to ensure conditions for people to be healthy. Champions of health equity face a challenge, given the inequitable distribution of money, employment, education and other important resources that determine health and well-being.

Several speakers will discuss possible ways that Will County residents, community organizations, and the public health system can work together to achieve health equity.

Speakers will include: Will County Health Department Executive Director Sue Olenek, Adventist Medical Center Bolingbrook Director of Ancillary Service and Community Benefits Kathy Sievertsen, Will County MAPP Collaborative Coordinator Jennifer Gorszczyk, Cook County Department of Public Health Regional Health Officer Jim Bloyd, Research & Consulting Group Mari Gallagher, and Will County MAPP Collaborative Action Team Co-Chairs.

The Fall Forum is an opportunity for new and existing partners to come together and talk about issues concerning Will County. This event is open to the public and free to attend.

To register for the Fall Forum, visit tinyurl.com/MAPPfallforum2016. For more information about Will County MAPP, email mapp@willcountyhealth.org or phone (815) 727-5089.
