Jennifer Bertino-Tarrant Will County Executive

I am honored to serve as your Will County Executive. As a lifelong resident of this great county, I have witnessed many changes as we have evolved from an ag-community to a major hub in the global distribution market.  I am dedicated to building upon this status but I am equally dedicated to maintaining the quality of life for the nearly 700,000 residents and thousands of businesses and organizations that call Will County home.

Please explore our website which is filled with important information about services and departments within the County Executive office as well as connections to other county officials’ websites.

Will County is diverse, vibrant and filled with hard-working people. We have room to grow and we look forward to a great future.

Applications being accepted for Will County Board District 1 member

Candidate to represent Peotone, Monee, Crete and other Eastern Will County communities

Due to the recent resignation of Laurie Summers (D-Crete) as member of the Will County Board District 1, County Executive Larry Walsh is now accepting applications to fill this seat.

“It is important that we fill this seat as quickly as possible to maintain a fair and well represented county board,” Walsh said. “This is a great opportunity for someone to get involved with county government.”

Summers was first elected to the board in 2016. She also served on the county board’s executive, legislative and policy, and the public health and safety committees. Most recently, Summers was named president of the Forest Preserve of Will County Board of Commissioners.

According to the rules of the Will County Board, since Summers is a Democrat, a member of the Democrat party must be appointed as her replacement. Interested parties should send a letter of interest and a resume to Bill Thoman, chairman of the Will County Democrat Central Committee, by November 1st, 2019 via email: members@willcountydemocrats.org or mail: P.O. Box 4242, Joliet, IL 60434.
