Jennifer Bertino-Tarrant Will County Executive

I am honored to serve as your Will County Executive. As a lifelong resident of this great county, I have witnessed many changes as we have evolved from an ag-community to a major hub in the global distribution market.  I am dedicated to building upon this status but I am equally dedicated to maintaining the quality of life for the nearly 700,000 residents and thousands of businesses and organizations that call Will County home.

Please explore our website which is filled with important information about services and departments within the County Executive office as well as connections to other county officials’ websites.

Will County is diverse, vibrant and filled with hard-working people. We have room to grow and we look forward to a great future.

Jennifer Bertino-Tarrant, Will County Executive

Public Meeting Planned for Intersection in Crete Township

The Will County Division of Transportation (DOT) will hold a Public Information Meeting concerning the proposed improvement of the Burville Road at Exchange Street intersection in Crete Township, near the Village of Crete. The meeting will be held at Crete Township Fire Protection District Station #1, 26730 S. Stoney Island Ave. in Crete on April 30, 2025 from 4-7 p.m.

This will be the second public meeting regarding the project, aimed at addressing intersection safety and operation. Representatives of the Will County DOT will be available from 4-7 p.m. and will answer individual questions and record comments offered by those in attendance. Representatives will address topics such as the need for the project, the preferred design alternative, right-of-way acquisition, and the tentative construction schedule. Materials presented at the meeting will also be available at www.BurvilleAtExchangeStudy.com.

As a federally funded project, the public information meeting is being held in compliance with National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) requirements and the Illinois Department of Transportation’s public involvement policy. The meeting will be conducted informally, with exhibits, a recorded presentation, and staff available to discuss the project.
