Jennifer Bertino-Tarrant Will County Executive

I am honored to serve as your Will County Executive. As a lifelong resident of this great county, I have witnessed many changes as we have evolved from an ag-community to a major hub in the global distribution market.  I am dedicated to building upon this status but I am equally dedicated to maintaining the quality of life for the nearly 700,000 residents and thousands of businesses and organizations that call Will County home.

Please explore our website which is filled with important information about services and departments within the County Executive office as well as connections to other county officials’ websites.

Will County is diverse, vibrant and filled with hard-working people. We have room to grow and we look forward to a great future.

Will County Employees to Participate in Get Fit on Route 66

Will County Employees celebrated a kickoff party for “Get Fit on Route 66” on August 1, 2016.   This program is designed to increase activity and gain awareness of health and wellness while building positive camaraderie for county employees, as they walk the distance from Chicago to California! The ultimate goal is for teams made up of 6 members to walk the distance of Route 66, 2451 miles, in 12 weeks!

“This year we have had an increase of 10 percent in our employee participation.  Bruce Tidwell, County Director of Human Resources said.  “This shows the level of commitment county employees have to leading healthier lives. The goal of this walking challenge is to help employees maintain or begin a fitness program which will lead to better health”

“We anticipate some friendly competition with this challenge” said Walsh.  “Better employee health leads to more productivity and less absenteeism” added Walsh.
