Jennifer Bertino-Tarrant Will County Executive

I am honored to serve as your Will County Executive. As a lifelong resident of this great county, I have witnessed many changes as we have evolved from an ag-community to a major hub in the global distribution market.  I am dedicated to building upon this status but I am equally dedicated to maintaining the quality of life for the nearly 700,000 residents and thousands of businesses and organizations that call Will County home.

Please explore our website which is filled with important information about services and departments within the County Executive office as well as connections to other county officials’ websites.

Will County is diverse, vibrant and filled with hard-working people. We have room to grow and we look forward to a great future.

Will County Partnering with Joliet Junior College to Host Nonprofit Management Trainings

Will County is hosting three workshops on nonprofit management as part of a partnership between the Will County Land Use Department’s Community Development Division and the Joliet Junior College Entrepreneur & Business Center. Three sessions will be held in April and May on different topics to provide local non-profit leaders an opportunity to improve their governance and management skills.

“Nonprofits are frontline workers in the community and have firsthand knowledge of the needs in the communities they serve,” said Community Development Director Martha Sojka. “We’re happy to partner with Joliet Junior College on these sessions to empower our local nonprofit leaders to build capacity and improve their operations.”

Sessions are open to any staff member or board member of a nonprofit agency working in Will County. All sessions will be held at the Joliet Junior College City Center Campus located at 235 N. Chicago St, Joliet, IL 60432.

The schedule for nonprofit training workshops is as follows:

  • Session 1 - Governance & Operations - April 17
  • Session 2 - Financial Management & Funding - April 24
  • Session 3 - Operations & Asset Management - May 1

Each session is limited to 50 attendees. Attendees are not required to register for all three sessions. Attendees can register by emailing lugrants@willcountylanduse.com at https://forms.office.com/g/G2EGdkQVcR.
