As a lifelong resident of this great county, I have witnessed many changes as we have evolved from an ag-community to a major hub in the global distribution market. I am dedicated to building upon this status but I am equally dedicated to maintaining the quality of life for the nearly 700,000 residents and thousands of businesses and organizations that call Will County home.

Workforce Center of Will County offers new career coach services via Zoom

Many other programs available to job seekers and
businesses impacted by the COVID crisis

As unemployment numbers across the country reach record highs, the Workforce Center of Will County (WCWC) continues to offer important services to both job seekers and businesses during this unprecedented time.

Ask the Career Coach is a service that allows job seekers an opportunity to personally ask questions about job searches, resumes, interviews, and changes to the current job market.

This service will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 3 via Zoom and will be offered every Wednesday during the month of June. It will be led by Dave Nichols, a Certified Professional Career Coach and Certified Professional Resume Writer.

“The job market looks different than it ever has in our history,” Nichols said. “But thankfully we have been able to change the way we deliver our services so we can continue to help those who are seeking employment.”

During the Zoom meetings, Nichols will be able to share information and answer questions with the participants virtually. People can also email questions to Nichols and he can answer them individually.

“Using Zoom has become an effective method to deliver our services,” he said. “We are still offering important assistance to our customers and people are keeping connected during their job search.”
