The Will County Liquor Commission is holding a Public Hearing under 235 ILCS 5/7-5 regarding the liquor licenses held by GAD Corporate Enterprises, Inc., d/b/a the Aqua Lounge and Fire House Pub located at 7900 and 7905 W. Lincoln Highway, Frankfort, IL. The public hearing will be conducted in the County Board Committee Room in the Will County Office Building (302 N. Chicago Street, Joliet, IL 60432) on Thursday, April 1st at 1:30 p.m..

The Will County Executive Office and the Will County Health Department today unveiled a new online search feature that makes it easier to find a vaccine in Will County while encouraging all residents over the age of 65 to get vaccinated as the State of Illinois announced it will advance to Phase 5 of Restore Illinois by April 12.

Will County HOME Consortium funds awarded to Cornerstone Services, Inc for renovations on two group homes

Two group homes operated by Cornerstone Services, Inc.in Joliet have been selected for renovations by the Will County Community Development Division, the lead entity for the County’s HOME Consortium, and the City of Joliet, a member of this HOME Consortium. The HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME), through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), provides grants to state and local governments to create affordable housing for low-income households.

County Announces Pair of Community Vaccination Clinics

The Will County Executive Office and Will County Health Department today announced another milestone in beating the COVID-19 virus by opening Community Vaccination Clinics in Wilmington beginning the week of March 22 and Monee beginning the week of March 29.

For residents who have lost employment due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there are many job search services available in the Resource Room of the Workforce Center of Will County, located at 2400 Glenwood Avenue in Joliet.

“The Resource Room is an excellent place for our residents to find assistance in their job searches,” said Will County Executive Jennifer Bertino-Tarrant. “Many Will County employers use the Workforce Center to find qualified employees.”

These factors are also leading to new barriers for people already suffering from mental illness and substance use disorders. During the pandemic, four in 10 adults in the U.S. reported symptoms of anxiety or depression.
