A “Healthy Lifestyle Event” will be hosted in the Village of University Park to provide free produce, vegetables, and healthcare resources on Thursday, September 21 at the Village of University Park Town Center, 90 Towncenter Dr., University Park, IL 60484. Will County Executive Jennifer Bertino-Tarrant is partnering with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois, the Village of University Park, the Community Nutrition Network and Senior Services Association, Meals on Wheels Foundation of Northern Illinois, and the Will County Health Department to host the event.

Attendees will be provided with free produce and vegetables, while supplies last. The Will County Health Department will be showcasing local resources and distributing COVID-19 at-home test kits.

“This is a great opportunity for local residents to access healthy food and local resources,” said County Executive Bertino-Tarrant. “Thank you to the Village of University Park and all of our health and wellness partners who came together to organize this pop-up event for our residents.”
