Jennifer Bertino-Tarrant Will County Executive

I am honored to serve as your Will County Executive. As a lifelong resident of this great county, I have witnessed many changes as we have evolved from an ag-community to a major hub in the global distribution market.  I am dedicated to building upon this status but I am equally dedicated to maintaining the quality of life for the nearly 700,000 residents and thousands of businesses and organizations that call Will County home.

Please explore our website which is filled with important information about services and departments within the County Executive office as well as connections to other county officials’ websites.

Will County is diverse, vibrant and filled with hard-working people. We have room to grow and we look forward to a great future.

Jennifer Bertino-Tarrant, Will County Executive

Will County "Recyclepalooza" Returns in Time for Spring Cleaning

“Recyclepalooza” is kicking off Will County’s 2025 recycling event season, offering a free recycling and collection event in Joliet for electronics, household hazardous waste, metal, wood, clothing, books, toys, and more on Saturday, March 29.

The drive-up event, hosted by the Will County Resource Recovery and Energy Division, takes place from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. It is open to people living in communities that are fully or partially in Will County. There is a limit of two TVs and 15 gallons of paint per vehicle.

The event is available by appointment-only to help regulate traffic and reduce wait-times. More information on the exact location and how to pack vehicles for quick and easy unloading during the event will be emailed upon making an appointment.

Appointments can be made at www.willcountygreen.com. Volunteer opportunities are also available on the website.
