Will County Executive Jennifer Bertino-Tarrant joined Pace Suburban Bus (Pace) leadership and local officials to celebrate the expansion of dial-a-ride services into southwest Will County. Seniors and people with disabilities in six new townships can now register for the Access Will County Dial-a-Ride service for their transportation needs.

Teena Mackey to lead day-to-day operations following three-decade career in management

The Will County Community Mental Health Board (708 Board) has hired Tenna Mackey as its first Executive Director. Mackey will lead the day-to-day operations of the board, which is tasked with evaluating and improving community mental health services in Will County, including the treatment of mental illness, intellectual and developmental disabilities, and substance use.

Volunteers needed for food giveaway event focused on post-storm relief

Will County Executive Jennifer Bertino-Tarrant and City of Joliet Mayor Terry D’Arcy are partnering with ShareFest Will County to host a Free Food Giveaway event from 9 a.m. until noon to support residents impacted by last week’s storms. The drive-up event will be held at the Will County Office Building located at 302 N. Chicago Street, Joliet, IL 60432.

Will County to Host Public Information Meeting On Mills Road-Cherry Hill Road Study

The Will County Division of Transportation (DOT) will hold a Public Information Meeting to share improvement options and hear public input for the Mills Road-Cherry Hill Road Phase I Study. The meeting will be held from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 30, 2024 in Rooms C and D at the Nowell Park Recreation Center, 199 Mills Road, Joliet, IL 60433.

Will County Launches Self-Reporting Survey for Storm Damage

The Will County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) has launched a damage assessment survey for residents and businesses who have been impacted by the severe weather on July 15. The survey will support the ongoing efforts of damage assessment teams who are visually inspecting damage to personal property, businesses, and public infrastructure throughout the county. 

Will County to Host Fairmont Community Event

Will County Executive Jennifer Bertino-Tarrant and the Will County Community Development Division will be hosting a community event from 10 AM to 3 PM on June 22 at the Fairmont Community Center, 525 Barry Avenue. The event will feature family-friendly activities, a resource fair, a food giveaway, and a community planning activity focused on the future of the Fairmont neighborhood.
