The Workforce Center of Will County January schedule has been released.

Career Cafe will meet at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15. Career Cafe is a networking event designed to connect people looking for work. In addition to sharing tips with other job seekers and learning job search techniques, participants will hear from guest speakers sharing their hiring expertise.

Officials from the Will County Veterans’ Assistance Commission (VAC) and the Community Service Council of Northern Will County (CSC) are proud to announce a new partnership that will benefit veterans living in the Northern portion of Will County.

Will County Executive Larry Walsh, 70, announced he recently began chemo treatments following a diagnosis of cancer. His treatment regime began this past week.

JOLIET – The Workforce Center of Will County December schedule, which includes workshops offered by the Workforce Services Division of Will County, Illinois Department of Employment Security and Joliet Junior College, has been released.

All Will County office buildings will be closed for the Thanksgiving holiday on Thursday, November 22 and Friday, November 23. We will resume normal business hours on Monday, November 26. Happy Thanksgiving!

At today’s meeting of the Will County Board, the FY 2019 budget was adopted by a unanimous vote. The $569 million budget will fund critical county services, supports progress on capital improvement projects, and meets the county’s obligation to fund OPEB (Other Post Employment Benefits) and IMRF (Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund).

A Project Labor Agreement for two building projects was signed during the Thursday, Nov. 15, County Board meeting.
