Workforce Services Division of Will County has announced the Mobile Workforce Center’s December schedule. 

Workforce Services Division of Will County has scheduled its December workshops for job seekers, the first in its new location.

Workforce Services Division of Will County opened at a new location at 2400 Glenwood Ave. on Monday, Nov. 23. 

After six years, job seekers who need clothes for interviews or work will be looking in a different “closet.”

With a final vote on Will County’s FY 2016 budget anticipated at tomorrow’s county board meeting, Will County Executive Larry Walsh expressed his concerns about cuts to several critical areas of county services.  Two of particular concern are the removal of four Division of Transportation truck driver positions and a significant cut to the county’s successful recycling programs.

The Will County Land Use Department’s second annual Pumpkin Pitch gave participants an opportunity to get rid of pumpkins and leave with information.

Nov.15 is America Recycles Day, and Will County wants to thank residents and non-profits for all they do to improve the environment by offering them a chance to win refurbished iPad2’s.

     The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Chicago District has begun a study of the potential effects associated with flooding within the DuPage River watershed. The DuPage River watershed is located primarily within DuPage and Will Counties, Illinois. The Army Corps is hosting several public meetings for residents to learn more about the study and offer their input.
