Job SummaryOperates and maintains flatbed trucks with two (2) and three (3) axle vehicles, dump trucks and flat bed with 2 and 3 phase booms, auger, winch, bucket, hydraulic puller, and driver. Coordinates daily work assignment through Sign Maintainer Lead or Designee. Logs and maintains an accurate daily diary of all work assignments, such as installations, sign replacements, straightening, repairs, etc. Sign material usage shall be given to Leader or Designee daily to be placed in inventory program. Overtime may be necessary, including but not limited to mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays, particularly during peak maintenance seasons and emergencies.
Minimum QualificationsHigh school graduation or equivalency required. Three (3) years as Road Maintainer or similar background with operating familiarity of department vehicles and equipment used. Possession of a valid CDL Class A or B with Air Brakes endorsement required. Subject to a Criminal Background Check, pre-employment Drug Screening Test and /or Drug and Alcohol Test, FMCSA Clearinghouse Pre-employment Queries on any potential new DOT FMCSA regulated driver prior to placement in a safety-sensitive position and Limited annual FMCSA Clearinghouse Queries. Driver’s License Check and an Employee Physical. Frequent lifting, moving, and transporting heavy tools, equipment parts, and materials, often weighing up to 50-100 pounds. Must successfully complete a lift test prior to employment.
Salary Range$69,177/yr. (Starting Compensation) – $86,471/yr.
