Job Title	Geographical Information Systems Specialist
Job Title Note	Will County Emergency Telephone System
Job Summary	Under the direction of the GIS Manager, performs intermediate to advanced technical support for the GIS system implementation and operation. Creates, maintains, tests, and enhances GIS datasets, maps, and databases to support system needs and customer requirements. This role is strictly in-office only. Remote or hybrid work options are not available.
Minimum Qualifications	Associates Degree from an accredited two-year college or professional/technical school or program in GIS, Computer Science, Cartography or related field with two (2) years’ experience in mapping, 9-1-1 communication or other 9-1-1 functions. Prior experience with 9-1-1 or emergency response operations, GPS data acquisition, and government operations at the county or regional level preferred. Excellent customer services skills. Ability to prioritize and multi-task several projects. Must pass a pre-employment GIS based skills assessment. Must pass a fingerprint-based background check prior to employment.
Salary Range	$85,217 (Minimum Compensation) - $110,809 (Maximum Compensation) Exempt.
