Job SummarySort internal and external incoming mail for distribution and dispatch outgoing mail. Maintain mail room and related equipment. Address, weigh, and stamp outgoing mail by hand or machine, as needed. Assist with the preparation, sorting, and distribution of bulk mailings. Chain of custody liaison for transporting specimens and samples. Collect and distribute mail and other material to designated County offices and health care providers in Northeastern Illinois including Chicago (when assigned).
Minimum QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalency required. Prior general office experience and familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/Outlook/Internet Explorer) required. Knowledge of USPS /UPS/FedEx procedures and systems preferred. Valid State of Illinois Driver’s License and minimum automobile insurance as required by law. Ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds and pass a pre-employment lifting assessment.
Salary Range$22.5420/hr. (Starting compensation) - $28.1503/hr. (Top of the range) (D3-E3 Union) Non-Exempt https://willcounty.gov/Open-and-Participatory-Government. This is a part-time benefited position.
