Programs & Services Provided by the VAC

The following programs and services are provided directly by the Will County Veterans Assistance Commission to assist eligible Veterans and their families.

Financial Assistance

Emergency financial assistance and needs-based benefits to help eligible Veterans and their families during difficult times.

Advocacy for Veterans

Guidance and support to help Veterans navigate benefits, claims, and available local, state, and federal resources.

DVA Claim Work

Assistance with VA compensation, pension, health care, and other benefits to help Veterans navigate the claims process.

Transportation Assistance

Transportation assistance to help eligible Veterans get to medical appointments and other essential destinations.

Mental Health Program

Mental health resources and support designed to help Veterans access appropriate care, counseling, and other services that support their well-being.

The VAC works with trusted community partners to make additional programs and resources available to Veterans at the VAC location.

Employment Assistance Program

Employment assistance is available at the VAC through the Disabled Veterans' Outreach Program (DVOP) in partnership with Workforce Services through the Illinois Department of Employment Security.

About Community Partner Programs: These programs are offered at the VAC in partnership with other organizations. Availability, eligibility, and services are provided by the respective partner organization.
