Check ou your neighbors, take your pets indoors, and make sure your car is in good working conditions. If you or someone you know is without heat, please seek shelter at one of these local warming centers. 

Will County raises Illinois Bicentennial flag celebrating 200th birthday

Will County Executive Larry Walsh and other local officials honored the 200th birthday of the State of Illinois today by raising the Illinois Bicentennial flag at the Will County Office Building, 302 N. Chicago Street in Joliet. A yearlong celebration will commemorate the state’s milestone birthday.

Have a safe and Happy Thanksgiving. The county office building will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 23 and Friday, Nov. 24 in observance of the holiday. 

Will County leaders ink completion certificate for Public Safety Complex

Sheriff personnel have begun move-in process

Yesterday, officials from Will County conducted an official signing ceremony of a Certificate of Substantial Completion for the Public Safety Complex. This project milestone represents the end of construction and the beginning of a phased move-in process. The $33.5 million facility will house a majority of the Sheriff’s operations as well as the Emergency Telephone Safety Board and the Laraway Communications Center.
