The Workforce Center of Will County December schedule, which includes workshops offered by the Workforce Services Division of Will County, Illinois Department of Employment Security and Joliet Junior College, has been released.

Yesterday, officials from Will County conducted an official signing ceremony of a Certificate of Substantial Completion for the Public Safety Complex. This project milestone represents the end of construction and the beginning of a phased move-in process. The $33.5 million facility will house a majority of the Sheriff’s operations as well as the Emergency Telephone Safety Board and the Laraway Communications Center.

The Will County Land Use Department’s Resource Recovery and Energy Division and Lewis University once again are teaming up to offer an environmentally sound way to get rid of jack-o-lanterns and documents.

     Following the release of his proposed FY 2018 budget to the Will County Board, County Executive Larry Walsh again renewed his call to eliminate the Will County Public Building Commission (PBC) despite opposition from Will County Board leadership.  Walsh said this move supports the county’s continued efforts to consolidate government services and improve efficiency.
