The Will County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) will host their “When Seconds Matter: Public Preparedness Workshop” on Saturday, March 28, 2026 at Reed-Custer High School in Braidwood. The Workforce Services Division of Will County will be hosting their fourth-annual Pathways to Professions Career Expo from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at the Romeoville Athletic and Events Center (55 Phelps Ave, Romeoville). The free expo aims to connect job seekers with over 80 employers from a wide range of in-demand industries.

The drive-up event is on Tuesday, September 23 at New Hope Christian Community Church, 4700 W. Court St. in Monee and is available to all Will County residents.

Will County APS Launches New Pet Assistance Program

Will County Animal Protection Services (Will County APS) has launched their Helping Owners & Pets Equitably (HOPE) Program, a free program for eligible Will County households to spay, neuter, and microchip their dogs and cats. The program aims to ensure healthy outcomes for Will County pets, help control pet overpopulation by reducing the number of unplanned litters, and lower the number of pets in area shelters.
