Joliet Slammers to Host “Water Conservation Night” with Will County on June 14
Will County Executive Jennifer Bertino-Tarrant invites the public to learn about the benefits of water conservation, while enjoying the Joliet Slammer game at 6:35 p.m. Tuesday, June 14, at Duly Health and Care Field.
“Thank you to the Joliet Slammers for making water conservation one of their themes for the summer baseball season,” said Bertino-Tarrant. “This will be a fun evening for the whole family. Will County will be offering raffle prizes throughout the night for attendees.”
Throughout the evening, information will be shared about the environmental and financial importance of conserving water. The Will County Resource Recovery and Energy Division is also partnering with local entities to share water conservation tips, including the City of Joliet, Conservation Foundation, Home Depot, Illinois Section American Water Works Association, and Resource Environmental Solutions.
Raffle prizes will be offered from the 2nd through the 7th inning, including rain barrels and WaterSense items designed to save homeowners money on water usage. The tip sheets, which will need to filled out and returned to be entered for a prize, will be offered at the Will County table on the concourses or by yellow-vested staff.
The Joliet Slammers will be playing the Washington Wild Things and will also be hosting Shark Night activities for kids.
Tickets can be bought at https://www.ticketreturn.com/prod2/BuyNew.asp?EventID=327006. Tickets cost $2 in advance and $3 at the door. The stadium is at 1 Mayor Art Schultz Drive.
