Mobile Food Market Visiting Crete in January

Residents are invited to attend a “Mobile Market” food distribution event in Crete on Thursday, January 15 from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM, or until supplies last. The event is a partnership between the Northern Illinois Food Bank and County Executive Jennifer Bertino-Tarrant, the Crete Public Library District, the Village of Crete, and the Crete Park District.

The event will distribute eggs, milk, fresh produce, meat, and non-perishable items. Attendees can remain in their cars during the drive-through food distribution event. It is recommended to bring bags or boxes to package the food once distributed.

The Mobile Market will be held at Crete Park District’s Heritage Park, 1550 S. Sangamon Street in Crete, Illinois. On-Site volunteers will support vehicle line-up and food distribution.
