Will County Animal Protection Services Seeking Donations for Shelter Pets This Holiday Season
Will County Animal Protection Services (APS) is seeking donations to help support the care and wellbeing of shelter pets this holiday season. A “giving tree” is set up in the main lobby of the Will County Office Building, 302 N. Chicago St., Joliet.
The Will County APS Giving Tree is decorated with ornaments that contain one of the pets’ most beloved items. Members of the public are welcome to stop, take an ornament, and then drop off the item that’s on the ornament to either the Executive Office on the second floor of the County Office Building, or to Animal Protection Services, 22452 S. Cherry Hill Rd., Joliet.
Examples of items needed at WCAPS include – laundry detergent, collars, canned cheese, tennis balls, and plain ice cream cones.
The County Office Building and Animal Protection Services offices are open to the public from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. WCAPS also has an Amazon wish list created to help collect donations that are needed the most to help bring holiday cheer to the pets in their care.
