Workforce Center of Will County to Temporarily Close During Move
Employment-focused center moving to more centralized Will County location
The Workforce Center of Will County will be temporarily closed during their move to a new location, effective on Tuesday, February 24th and re-opening on Wednesday, March 4th. The multi-agency employment center is moving to 1300 Copperfield Avenue in Joliet, on the city’s east side, providing a more centralized and accessible location for residents across Will County.
The new office location is housed in a newly renovated, County-owned building. The facility is conveniently accessible via Routes 6, 30, and 171, as well as Interstates 80 and 355. It is also located near multiple Pace Suburban Bus stops. The Workforce Center will continue operating at its current location, 2400 Glenwood Avenue in Joliet, without interruption through the close of business on February 23.
The Workforce Center of Will County is home to several local, state, and federal partners who offer employer and job-seeker services under one roof, offering no-cost employment, education, and training services designed to empower individuals, strengthen businesses, and support long-term economic growth across the county. The Workforce Services Division of Will County serves as the one-stop operator of the center, in partnership with the Illinois Department of Employment Services, Illinois Department of Human Services, Joliet Job Corps, Joliet Junior College, and the Will County Center for Community Concerns.
